Simafex has demonstrated a versatile expertise in handling the main organic reactions involved in pharmaceutical fine chemistry. In addition to being a leading manufacturer of organic iodo-compounds, we are also recognized worldwide for our ability to control difficult reactions and to handle safely sensitive reagents.

Our 20-strong R&D team (6 PhD’s) is currently working on innovative synthesis, the development of novel manufacturing processes and specific analytical techniques which will lead up to the supply from pilot batches and to industrial quantities.

Simafex is able to scale up new processes rapidly from laboratory to industrial multi tons batches , thereby ensuring customer benefits in terms of quality and costs.
Particularly experienced in the development of pharmaceutical products and associated services such as regulatory support (DMF), the team has also acquired useful know-how in chiral chemistry.

All these skills are supported by a strong analytical development resources including HPLC (7), GC (6) including GC/MS (2) and Head Space (3), NMR Spectroscopy, IRFT, UV.

Simafex has established a strong network with a number of university research teams particularly in the fields of macrocyclic chemistry and selective oxidating hypervalent iodinated reagents.
